On September 23rd, the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou opened. The Hangzhou Asian Games adheres to the concept of “green, intelligent, frugal, and civilized” and strives to become the world’s first large-scale “waste free” event.

The scale of this Asian Games is unprecedented. It is expected that more than 12000 athletes, 5000 team officials, 4700 technical officials, more than 12000 media reporters worldwide, and millions of spectators from all over Asia will participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games, and the scale of the event will reach a new high.

As the main media center catering service provider, Hangzhou International Expo Center is duty-bound and fully committed to promoting a green and low-carbon lifestyle that is deeply rooted in people’s hearts. In the restaurant, the dining tables and landscape layout in sight are made of paper based materials, which can be recycled after the competition. The tableware provided to guests is made of biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials, with knives, forks, and spoons made of PLA material. The plates and bowls are made of rice husk material. From the space layout to the tableware, we truly implement and create a “waste free” dining space.
